Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #144

Crew Trades are live on Tensor, but that is certainly not all there is to share with regard to the new Crew Card collection! Issues were fixed, art was rerolled, and aptitude roll chances were updated. Besides Crew updates, the Star Atlas DAO Council elections are still in full swing! 22 community members stepped forward, and soon, it will be up to you to vote for whoever you’d like to see in there!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #143

Crew Cards are live! Last week, the team launched the Crew Pack opening experience and added an inventory of additional Packs to their marketplace. Overall, it has been a somewhat rough experience. Meanwhile, most of the experience is working at this point, though there are still some loose ends for the team to fix.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #142

This past week was all about Crew! The snapshot took place, the airdrop almost took place, and this week, people will start opening up their Crew Packs with the custom opening experience the team has created! Packs will go on sale this Tuesday, and the team has been leaking Crew Cards left and right to drum up hype! But that is not all there was going on! The second and third rounds of POLIS Improvement Proposals have been approved, the first phase of the Council Elections is underway, and the IMPACT Summit is drawing near!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #141

This past week was a quiet one, and therefore, we will primarily look ahead a little at what is to come this week. Of course, the big ticket item is the imminent Crew Airdrop, but this week could also see the Council Elections kick off. The one thing that did happen this past week was the third episode of the Economic Forum took place, where the Econ team showed us a bunch of cool graphs and tables!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #140

As quiet as it was two weeks ago, so busy was the last one! The biggest news, undoubtedly, is that the Crew launch is imminent! Other big news was the hackathon announcement, dubbed “Naabathon”. On the Governance side of things, PIP 1 and 2 passed, and PIP 3 and 4 can be voted on. The team also added a brand new PIP-5 that is now open to voting. As expected, it proposes that the DAO beef up the Naabathon rewards. And that was not even everything that happened!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #139

After the news frenzy surrounding the Town Hall and, to a lesser extent, the launch of the DAO Governance, this past week was pretty light on news. That said, the big news last week was some community research into the token sell pressure that the ATLAS and POLIS tokens are experiencing. In addition, Santi (Community Director) raised the curtains a little regarding their upcoming Hackathon.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #138

The past week saw the launch of the DAO Governance, with the first two proposals meanwhile having been opened up for voting! This has been the focal point of community discussions on Discord ever since the full PIP descriptions were revealed. In other news, as announced, the Community Team updated their live Roadmap to reflect the UE5 pivot mentioned during the Town Hall the week prior. But perhaps much more interesting are additional details shared by Michael (CEO) concerning the upcoming Fleet Rentals (later this year).

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #137

Last Wednesday, the team hosted the 43rd Town Hall, which was a big one! It lasted well over two hours and was packed with the latest changes and updates from the team. Major highlights were the imminent DAO launch, the Star Atlas Summit, and an overhaul of the UE5 roadmap. But that is not all; the team also published the second Economic Quarterly Report of 2024!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #136

An uneventful week went by, but that is no surprise as the team is likely saving the majority of the news for the Town Hall later this week! We were, however, treated to the second Economic Forum, and of course, the Honeyland collaboration finally happened.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #135

Last week was a big week for SAGE Labs: Starbased, as two long-awaited changes were finally rolled out! On top of that, less expected, the team rolled out their new Meta Crafting Station, enabling players to craft items from outside of the official Star Atlas universe. But that is not all; the team also announced the date for the next Town Hall, which is a little further away than we thought: Wednesday, July 3rd.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #134

Another week went by with little news. However, the team did share top-notch alpha in the form of an image (and explanation) listing all the Crew Perks the upcoming Crew members will be able to work toward! Beyond this meaty topic, the team did make an announcement regarding a few expected Starbased updates, which we’ll look into as well!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #133

Another week went by, and the flow of news has not really increased compared to last week. However, Michael (CEO) and the team have hinted at a Town Hall being organized as you read this, and it looks likely that we’ll get a barrage of news during that (as of yet, unannounced) event! That said, we had our first Star Atlas Economic Forum (Brew) last week, so we’ll get into that! We also got a statement from Michael on the game that we’ve included in full here. It’ll be short but sweet!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #132

A very short newsletter today, as the past week was almost without any newsworthy announcements. Starbased got an impactful update to crafting, we got a small Passenger update from the team, and we have some cool new concept art for the Rainbow Phi (again!) and Ogrika ship weapons.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #131

Another, mostly uneventful, week has passed. But the few things that did happen were certainly enticing to Starbased players! The team re-introduced ship redemptions in SAGE and, on top, introduced ATLAS Emission bonuses based on Starbased Tier upgrades. And two more great changes are scheduled to go live this week! We’ll go over all of these changes in detail, but we’re kicking things off with another event that got people talking: The release of the Crew passenger capacity for each ship. Finally, we’ll wrap up this issue with some of the latest sneak peeks the team shared during the past week. And we’ve got a special bonus: new Rainbow Phi concept art!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #130

After the torrent of news last week, finding newsworthy bits for this week’s issue of our newsletter proved difficult. Thankfully, the team allowed us to share bits and pieces of information from the Foundation Room with you all! This enables us to share some more details regarding the Crew & Ship Component drop and a statement by Michael regarding gameplay.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #129

This week, we got more than we hoped for! We not only got detailed information on the Crew & Crew Packs combined with a first pre-sale, but we also got to see some awesome progress on the ONI CSS! On top of that, Michael also announced and showed off the much-anticipated move of SAGE 3D into UE5. But that is not all. Back in the here and now, we also have a ton of great Starbased changes!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #128

Last week was pretty quiet. The biggest news was that the team made a change to the minable resources in Starbased. Other than that, we have a few small Roadmap updates and Busan pulse Sneak peeks. Fortunately, it looks like we’ll have more to share next week! Solana Crossroads is taking place in Istanbul, Turkey, at the tail end of this week, and it should come with a few new announcements from Michael! Last but not least, a small community meetup will be organized on May 7th in Istanbul as well!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #127

Last week was a relatively quiet week after all the developments from the week prior. Nevertheless, we managed to scrounge together what bits were newsworthy for you below! We’ll get into the Surge rewards, the team’s approach to Crew Card conversion, and Michael’s (CEO) comments on the Multichain Venture acquisition! One additional thing worth sharing is that we updated our Starbased Guide with the latest info and numbers.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #126

Last week was a big week, with the long-anticipated multiplayer stress test taking place, major Starbased changes dropping, and the unexpected announcement of ATMTA acquiring the former company of the three co-founders, Multichain Ventures. As part of that announcement, we’ve also learned that soon, a new asset class will become available: Cultivation Facilities. And, one would almost forget, a new DataRunner ship has been released, the Fimbul BYOS Ranger!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #125

The second UE5 Multiplayer Stress test is coming, and everyone participating will be rewarded! But there is a lot more about to happen in the Star Atlas ecosystem! This Tuesday, April 16th, expect some drastic changes to the Economy and Starbased! This is all in the future, however. What happened last week? Well, the Superphoenix Titan was officially sold, and the Surge gameplay mode, which will take the spotlight during the aforementioned stress test, is now open for practice!
